The Production

Commodities
Uniform grain, years of desiccation the woods and perfect craftsmanship are very important for us. At the assembblage of a drumset we pay attention to the tonal vote of all the shells. These are one of many points which allows us to produce drums in this high quality.

Shell Production
DRUM DESIGN uses only selected drumshells for the production of all drums. All the shells are manufactured under permanent quality control (beech shells for Classic drums, maple shells for elite- and special edition drums and also solid shells or segment shells for different snaredrums).

Finishes
For our high-quality products we use only fine veneers or unusual designs in foil. The possibility to choose from over 50 different woods gives our customers the security of a noble individual unique.

Painting
Veneer, foil or paint application - everything is handled in DRUM DESIGN by hand. Each drum set (depending on the surface) needs about 8-10 weeks to manufacture. Special surfaces need much time to dry out accordingly. The finished surface of a shell is a not underestimated factor of the sound.

Bearing Edges
Remo skins on each drum guarantees a sound experience of a different kind! In combination with our bearing edges each drum receives the maximum of sound.

Drilling
Holes are drilled for our own hardware. The drums will be completed with drumheads, hoops and other hardware. Additional each drum has a consecutive number in the nameplate. With this number we are able to retrieve the whole production process for reconstruct a drum for the drumset.

Tuning and shipping
Each DRUM DESIGN drumset which leaves our workshop will be tuned by a professional drummer.
After tuning we packe the drums and shipp them all over the world.
