The history of DRUM DESIGN
1989 Christian Faerber build his first snaredrum during his training as a cabinetmaker. As an active drummer he tests this drum in different styles of music.
1998 A dream becomes true - the project of Färber Drum Design is launching.
1999 There are three different drum lines made by hand and in highest quality standards. Through various distributors sold in Europe.
2000 The first color catalogue is available. First contracts with artists from the music business begin. We are the Organizer of the First International Drummer Meeting in Austria - Dornbirn with over 500 visitors.
2001 Introduction of the performance drumline specifically created for hip-hop and drum & bass drummers. Initial reviews of the CLASSIC drumseries of Manni v. Bohr in the prestigious journal Drums & Percussion.
2002 We are exhibitor at the music fair in Frankfurt/Germany. The second test report is published in Drums & Percussion magazine.
2003 As a "noble forge" Faerber Drum Design is called in a further report of the magazine "Outlook Music". Three Special Edition Snares become tested.
Presentation of the Drum Design Quick Kick system. This is a special rack which allows to make a kickdrum from any 16 "floor tom. Introduction of the new professional Newcomer Series - DRUM DESIGN's (medium-priced drumset).
2004 Ones more we are as an exhibitor at the music fair in Frankfurt. Great audience response. The show in Frankfurt is a great success and we could look forward to many prospective customers and visitors. With the self-developed and patented "woofer-clamp" we have succeed in a never get exist by the sound of our subwoofer.
With many new colors in the Classic Series drummers have new opportunities in our better high-end series.
A new test of the new "newcomer" drumline in the magazine Drums & Percussion says: "Good workmanship, professional features,..." - Manni v. Bohr.
September The constant growth of Faerber Drum Design requires to restructed the company. The management finds a competent partner in Dietmar Konzett. The next period for DRUM DESIGN is initiated.
2005 At the beginning of the year DRUM DESIGN presents itself in a new outfit. The new kitbuilder on the webside brings a positive response of the users.
2006 In September moves DRUM DESIGN a new larger building for production and sales. In the new drumshop there are now snaredrums, dumsets and accessories on stock for testing.
2007 After the retirement of Dietmar Konzett the company's leadership is back again in founder Christian Faerber.
June The magazine "Drums & Percussion" makes a report about the new drumsticks.
September The redesigned website is now also available at www.drumdesign.at. In addition, the revised Classic Series is presented. It is now equipped with beech drumshells.
New Endorsers at the DRUM DESIGN Artist Family are Dieter Seiler und Flip Philipp representing the Vienna Symphony Orchestra! We look forward to an exclusive collaboration in the drums and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
October Two new Drumstickmodels [Fusion, Artist Series from Christian Eberle] and Rods make complete the stock inventory.
At the music fair in Friedrichshafen/Germany a new elite vintage drumset presended. The live performance is with the drummer David Breznik from the band The Monroes.
2008 DRUM DESIGN starts the new year with a new signature Drumstickmodel by Mario Pischleritsch.
Februar In the Drums & Percussion magazine is a report about the new drumstickmodels.
We have exclusive contracts with the company's nickel Drumworks & Puresound Percussion. Is now possible to equip all of our snaredrums with these specific strainers and wires.
April DRUM DESIGN expands his range in the field of orchestral drums with special snare drums.

February All preparations for this year's Frankfurt music fair will made! In Hall 4.0 Booth D84 all the news as the revolutionary DRUMDISC ® will be presented. Even the new Snaredrums will be presented which are builtin a specific manufacturing process!
